Nope. All ramen have beef in them.
Unfortunately. The shop is a vending machine based in that you order from a machine that gives tickets. There are no alternatives to the pork broth or meat.
1000 yen per bowl of noodle
All Ichiran ramen's broth base is made with pork parts. I don't think they will offer halal options anytime soon.
They only have pork ramen. You can buy non pork ramen in their shop, to make at home, but it's not vegan.
As far as I can remember, you can't. The cashier works by a vending machine that prints out food tickets after you put the money in
About 700 yen for a single bowl of ramen without extra toppings. Additional toppings cost extra for aroung 100 yen each. Water is free, beer is extra
No
1000yen
Yes, unfortunatelly almost everything contains pork. It is a tonkotsu ramen, which means they are using pork based soup. The only possible exception is probably the egg and rice that are not exposed to pork. However, I believe this is not a Halal certified restaurant.
So good. Nice staff and creative design for design. Highly recommended. Best ramen in the area!!!!!!! As lai good location many good restaurants also very convenient next to train. Great place
Good tasting ramen and very popular. Sometimes have to wait to get a sit.
When I first came into town there was a two hour wait for this location so I decided to come another time. Nice flavor and very tasty. They don’t have aprons at this location unfortunately so be mindful of that. I would suggest ordering more noodles on the side because I wasn’t that full afterwards. It was good but not worth waiting two hours.
This is the very first ramen I had on my very first trip to Tokyo few years back and it became a ritual to me to have it as my first meal whenever I'm in town. The balance between the soup and noodle is unreal. The quality is so consistent that it brings nostalgia on every visit. Personally prefer the Shibuya branch (the one near a junction) as it's quite hidden and less people specially in the mornings (never queue again by coming there for breakfast) and it's a whole new level of experience.Foodibear gives Ichiran Shibuya a solid 5/5.
Had to go there twice during my last trip..too good but there was always a queue a very small shop only 21 seats available. They mixed up my order the last time I went and I couldn't communicate in Japanese so that was a bit disappointing.
I ordered the regular ramen and the smoked pork. Both were good. I got the rich broth which, according to my bf, was better than his medium choice.
A really good Ramen. You can decide how much strong the flavor is and if you want meat or onion rings or if you want it spicy or if the noodles are cooked al dente or soft. It goes really fast and taste good.
We managed to eat a late lunch with only a 20 minute wait, but we passed the location a few times to see a very long line. Either way, it would be worth the wait because the Ramen is excellent! You can sit in an isolated booth by yourself or open the divider with guests.
Amazing.. A definite must try. Best ramen. Soo good. Place a bit small. But its so good 😋😋😋
Always a pleasant experience at Ichiran - the staff are amazing and the private booth is always great for eating your ramen in peace. I love that you can push the call button and order more things via the ordering card without even having to talk to anyone!
Don’t miss this ramen if you’re around shibuya area! For me it’s one of the best Ichiran ramen in Tokyo, the price is very good, and their ramen doesn’t let you down it’s very delicious and easy to order! an experience that you must try!
BEST. RAMEN. I'VE. EVER. HAD. Total life changer, this place is a must try!! Delicious food plus a super unique dining experience. Unforgettable.
Rich broth with very thin Hakata style noodle. I was actually ordering “kaedama†so that I can add on extra noodle. The combination of broth and spice was really good, and pork had a nice flavor of slow cook. This one is definitely my favourite and I’ll come back soon. I was there 10 minutes before 18:00, there was no line at all, but when I finished eating and got outside, there was lineup with many people. I’d say that you should avoid the busy time so it will be stress-feee experience!
My Number 1 favorite ramen shop in japan! And you may find Ichiran Shibuya is the most rational queue ever! Compare to the other branches.Always get a great dining experience here, great taste and i don’t even need to face other people to enjoy my meal.
——How to order——There are two machines were you could choose items. There is only one type of ramen and few side dishes like egg, pork slices etc. Just go for a set (ramen + few side dishes) or choose ramen and choose sides separately if you are very picky. Order a beer along with set.Set is around 1500 yen. Beer is 580 yen. Ramen alone was around 950 yen.——Customize the Ramen——Pick up a questionnaire with all the options yo customize ramen. (Richness, texture, onion, garlic, spicy level, softness of noodles). Choosing spice level is free. You can choose from scale of 1 to 10. 2 is the default.Lets eat now:When they tell your counter, just go there and place the token and questionnaire in front. The staff will take your token and bring food.Tip: You can order anything extra even when you are in the counter. Just press a button(in front of table)to call the staff
I love it. You’re able to adjust your order which is great! The dashi broth was flavourful and adding “mild†pepper taste gives it a subtle kick - depending on one’s spice threshold. It’s definitely worth a visit if you enjoy noodles.
Very tasty ramen. Had to wait, but totally worth it. Each booth had its own tap of filtered water. Choose your flavour at the machine, hand your ticket over to the waiter, and choose your flavour levels (recommended levels provided). A peaceful dinner, in the chaos of Shibuya. Loved it.
First time to try ramen..i like the dessert Ramen its not my top 10 list food sory😊but is full of your own original ingredient
This man sat next to me and slurped his delicious ramen loudly. He very much enjoyed it - also it’s pretty hot in here so if you could fix that it would be great.
If you want to have a bowl of porky flavoured broth with really good egg noodles, come here. I enjoyed everything here!
Loved the ramen from Ichiran!! The chef-recommended options for the ramen brought out a well-balanced flavor. It's also the perfect place to dine for introverts as there are individual booths for diners.
Delicious and very creative. You can have the noodles the way you want from their texture, the richness of the soup and the spice level. It is quite popular so there might be a long queue, especially during the night. However there is a newly open Ichiran store too, not too far away from here.Very yummy and great service!! Will always come back to eat when visiting japan.
If you want to experience having ramen a bit differently just come to Ichiran it is different and interesting. You first have line up and advise how many people. You then will be called to make your order. To make your order here you go to a vending machine and choose what you want and get a ticket. You need to keep this ticket for when you are lead to your table. Your table will have shutters on either side so you don't see or get disturbed by anyone else. A bamboo curtain opens in front of you and the staff member will ask for your order on your ticket and then after a couple of minutes your meal is brought to you . The ramen is nice and hot and enjoyable and quite delicious. The booths are different and it is an experienced in itself to have shutters on either side and not see other people.
Awesome Ramen. Probably the best ramen I've ever had.
Great ramen, long que.. Very long one especially in rush hours, you will order thru the machine even the extras.Tips. You will have extra garlic for free thus you don't have to order extra one.The staff are friendly and speaks English.
u need to prepare 1200 - 2000 Yen for 1 plate.. and u need to be patient.. because there are many tourist want to come to this place.. approximately 45 minutes.. and u need to pay first on vending machine then wait on seat.. the chef will prepare to u..
It lived up to the hype, great ramen. This one is open 24 hours. Vending machine is easy to follow to order, no problem if you don't speak Japanese.
First real Ramen experience and loved every minute of it. Be prepared to queue at busy times
I've been to this Ichiran for 4 years now and the flavor has always stayed perfect. Staff is nice and it's in a very convienent area as it is like a 2 minute walk from shibuya station. Ichiran is a perfect stop.
Love their ramen soup. Definitely have to get extra charsiew
Not worth waiting, clearly caters to Chinese tourists. Due to the COVID 19 epidemic there was no waiting time, and I was in the area so I had a quick bowl of ramen here. They were good. Nothing special at all and considering they’re Tonkotsu, I was missing a little more funk. Atmosphere was pretty bad with individual booths and no visibility of ramen making process. Staff was Chinese and a bit awkward. I would never queue up for this, especially not for two hours. If you want to eat like the locals, try Ramen Wise in Kanda, Kagari in Otemachi or Honda Ramen in Higashi-Jujo.
Worth waiting in line for any day of the week. This was my first proper ramen experience and the bar has been set extremely high! Staff worked efficiently to collect our order preferences and get us seated despite the high volume of people. You’re sat at individual booth like seats and your order delivered to you via a small window to the kitchen. I was seated next to my partner, however, certainly not necessary to get seats together if not possible as you’ll be too busy focusing on the flavour and ramen experience. I will definitely be returning when next in Tokyo!
My first ramen experience in Japan. I’m writing this review after I’ve tried other ramens to be more objective and have more experience of local food. I really liked this place and the atmosphere that gave me the feeling of traditions and local food and ways of having meals. The food was delicious! Recommend to visit
My favorite ramen chain in the world! It tastes fantastic, excellent portions, very quiet and you can eat in complete privacy! The doors separating the booths can collapse so you can talk to your adventure buddy. Would eat here 3 times a week if I lived here.
It's good ramen. However, you should also consider other elements. Sure, it's good, and hugely popular. But does it justify a 40 minute wait at 9 pm on a Tuesday (not peak lunch/dinner time) and a price way higher than the average ramen? All things considered, no.
Great value for money. Quality ok for money charged for food. Very limited for choice. I’ve been twice and would possibly return. Clean inside but prefer a restaurant to booth style diner.
The wait was worth it. I think what makes it better than the others is the option to personalize... Also the system to get food is efficient as well. 😊
Its frame is much higher than its quality. Personally I cannot tell what makes it outstanding from other random ramen stores. Worth a try but will not go back.
First time having ramen and it was amazing. Lineup wasn't too bad, and worth the wait. Got extra noodles and pork and was stuffed. A must
Pros:Location easy to find.Incredible flavor.2000 yen basic noodle.130 yen extra egg130 yen extra half noodle serve.Cons:Extremely busy and crowded.Long waiting lines , too hyped. Cannot save places for other customers. ***ONLY CASH***
This should be the first stop of your Ramen adventure and sets a good foundation for all the Ramen locations you can find around Shibuya and other parts of Tokyo. The broth is tasty well balanced and you get the option to select your noodles. The meat is tender and you can tell the amount of work it goes into making sure it adds more taste to the Ramen dish. Lunch is quiet but can get busy throughout the day. Highly recommended! Tip. The meat slices are thin and small so if you like more of serving of meat add it as extra. Make sure you have cash as it's pay at a vending machine to get tickets.
Always love a bowl of Ichiran when I'm in Japan. Not only the noodles are always delicious, the whole experience is very unique - the seats availability indication system, the ramen customization options, serving behind the curtain, the isolated booth (I noticed you can actually open the side screen so you can social with your next seat), etc.. If there's anything at all I can complain, I'd say the waiting time was sooooo long....That I would suggest to avoid actual meal time.... And also, the price has gone up so much over the years.
First place I ate ramen at when I got to Japan. It was then the best ramen I ever had then. 5 stars because the taste is consistent and it’s open late! Food taste is like a 4.75
The place is close to Shibuya Station, and it is located downstairs. The place was quite small and lots of people queeing. It took 10 mins for me to get inside the place, but the ramen was reallllly good. It was worth to wait!
Great ramen with a very reasonable price. The soup was thick and flavorful. Keep in mind that the store might look empty from the outside but there can be a long line inside.
Had lunch at 10+. I didn't have to queue but it was already crowded. Did not disappoint. One of the best ramens I've had on this trip.
Hands down the best ramen ever. We love loved the broth. Absolute heaven. Used the vending machine fast service and great welcome. All sides were available to order extra, I really wished they had a cup of broth option😋 We bought some non meat ramen to take back to nz. Thank you
Omg the ramen is perfect! However, be ready for an unusual restaurant experience- from when you enter to when you sit down.
We had to wait for about an hour and a half on a Monday night to eat here. It's great that you can customize it however you like and it will be liked by anybody.Although the waiting times are long. Meat is not super special and the sittings are individual.
